We're looking for a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at The Falkland Arms, our award winning country pub in the heart of Great Tew.
Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll play a key role in the day to day running of the kitchen, helping to deliver high quality, fresh food while supporting and developing the wider team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading by example, takes pride in their food, and thrives in a busy kitchen environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the Head Chef in the day to day management of the kitchen
- Preparing and delivering high-quality dishes using fresh ingredients
- Leading service and maintaining excellent food standards
- Coaching and developing junior kitchen team members
- Assisting with stock control, ordering and food safety compliance
- Helping to drive consistency, quality and creativity across the menu
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or an experienced Chef de Partie ready for the next step
- A passion for great food and exceptional guest experiences
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- A positive, hands on approach and the ability to work well under pressure
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and kitchen hygiene
